Stacey Ericson is a horse trainer with more than 14 years in business as a professional. Prior to re-launching Equestrian Endeavors as an Equine Facilitated Learning Program, Stacey ran her business as a successful hunter/jumper show barn on Florida’s west coast.
As a B-Level Certified member of the United States Pony Club, Stacey is well educated in all aspects of horse care, riding, and management. From the biomechanics of equine movement, to proper use of tack and equipment, Stacey brings an extensive breadth of knowledge to her clients, always ready to find a solution to even the most challenging of problems. Her experience schooling upper level competitive horses has brought her many, many opportunities to retrain and restore horses who have broken down, been stuck, or lost their competitive magic.
The approach to training horses in this new chapter of Equestrian Endeavors is to use new modalities of teaching, riding, and training horses; ones that emphasize the animal’s health and wellness first, education second, and rider relationship third. When combining this 3-tiered methodology with proven, classical equine training, the results have been absolutely phenomenal.
One of the greatest strengths that Stacey has in helping riders overcome their own challenges, is to focus on teaching riding FEEL, which results in a lot less FEAR. Stacey teaches higher level movements and exercises that help strengthen and balance horse and rider. These exercises, when done by a healthy horse and a more confident rider, can completely change the nature of the relationship, resulting in more enjoyable rides and significantly improved performance.
Many Equestrian Endeavors clients have shown at the AA level, while Stacey’s own riding career included many successful trips around top venues like: Wellington Winter Festival, HITS Circuit, Kentucky Summer Festival, Lake Placid, Old Salem, Culpepper, etc.
